I have been in NYC for 5 days now and I’m not surprised this is called the best city in the world. I still have to keep pinching myself that all of this is real, because being here couldn’t feel more natural. Today I finally took my camera out with me – I’ve been avoiding it so that I don’t look like a tourist. I’m not sure what direction the blog will take going forward but the idea was always to have a sort-of photography blog, so I don’t see why I should stop even though I am no longer in SA/Johannesburg. Hope you enjoy the photos – I would have liked to work on them a bit in Lightroom but sadly my computer is still behaving as though it wants me to throw it out the window. These photos were all taken Downtown Manhattan – so far my favourite part of the city and where I will be looking for an apartment.
Great photos! I so want to go to NYC. Looks amazing.
Thank you. I hope you get to go. Everything they say about this place is true – and then some!
uwielbiam !! będę śledzić jeszcze uważniej niż dotychczas Twojego bloga !!! Mam nadzieję, że jesteś tam szczęśliwa- i jesteś dla m nie ogromną inspiracją ! ściskam

😉
Thank you so much. I love it already – feels like I was always meant to be here.
very very cool, will def follow your blog… keep us posted.
Thanks Lyle – will keep the pics coming.
Welcome. Places you might want to check out:
The SoHo district, in particular the area around Broome Street. There are various galleries that would pique your interest. If you can stop and take a bite at L’Orange Bleu on Broome Street, also in SoHo. Check out ICP on 6th Avenue [aka Avenue of the Americas]; there’s a gritty exhibition by Christer Stromholm among other exhibitions. Be sure to walk part of the Highline on West 23rd–bring a pack of snacks and water and take hold of its eclectic quality. There are a multitude of restaurants, as you know, and I can’t start recommending them here, but I’m sure you’ll find some of your own. Enjoy.
Great pics! Have fun in NY…great city. Get some cheesecake if you can…Juniors has the BEST cheesecake. My Mom picked up a cookbook there a few years ago and their desserts are absolutely divine.
